Privacy Policy

Everything you type into a tool on this site is processed by your own browser and is never sent to us. We do not run accounts, we do not ask for personal details, and we do not sell data. We do use anonymous traffic statistics, and we show ads from Google, which uses cookies. The rest of this page explains each of those in detail.

The calculators, converters, and generators run entirely as JavaScript inside your browser. Values you enter, such as a height and weight in the BMI calculator or text in the Base64 encoder, are calculated on your device. They are not transmitted to our servers and we never see them.

One exception is worth understanding. Many tools keep your inputs in the page address so a result stays shareable and bookmarkable, for example ?principal=1000&rate=5. That address is visible to you, to anyone you send the link to, and to your browser history. Our analytics also record the address of pages that are visited, so those values can appear in traffic statistics. If you would rather not share a value, clear it before copying a link, and avoid sending links that contain figures you consider sensitive.

We use a self-hosted installation of Umami to count visits and see which tools are used. It records the page address, the referring site, and general details such as browser, operating system, device type, and country. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not build a profile of you across sites. The statistics stay on our own server rather than being handed to a third-party analytics company.

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. As required by Google, we disclose the following:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not stop ads from appearing, but it makes them less targeted.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is processed, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

Because this site has no accounts and the tools keep your input on your own device, we hold very little that could identify you. Most requests about advertising data need to be directed to Google, whose own privacy policy governs the data it collects here.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
